Here's a nifty idea for a gift that kids can make for their dads. My students and I had a Father's Day event (Games and Grub!) in school and we had a mini-sportsfest. We played games and feasted on pizza and juice afterward.
My students and I made these trophies that were apt to the theme:
We taped two paper cups together, added handles that were cut out from cardboard, and painted the whole thing gold. Then we glued on letter cutouts that read either "#1 PAPA" or "#1 DAD."
Nice and nifty!

June 20, 2010 was when......Manila experienced heavy traffic because families went out to celebrate Father's Day....John Lloyd Cruz admitted to The Buzz that he is going steady with Shaina Magdayao....an oil spill happened in the Gulf of Mexico....Miley Cyrus co-hosts the 2010 MuchMusic Video Awards....some kid, by the name of Graeme McDowell, won the U.S. Open Championship....Paraguay defeated Slovakia (2-0) at the 2010 FIFA World Cup....Nicole Kidman celebrated her birthday......so did Lionel Richie....Teddy Bird gave me flowers for the first time....and then with those blooms, he gave me a rock.My single days are officially numbered. :)
