Let's Go on a Date: June 2012

I mentioned recently that Hon-some and I just celebrated our first anniversary and that I made this gift for us.  Last night, we pulled out the June date plan from its envelope:  a meal at North Park.  In the previous post, I also mentioned that most of the dates were prepaid already.  For the North Park meal, I purchased a deal over at Ensogo.  We had dinner at North Park and redeemed our vouchers which consisted of a bowl of Ultimate Noodles, a Taipao, and a glass of iced tea.

When we arrived at North Park, the attendant took a look at our two vouchers and said, "Ma'am, pang-2 to 3 persons na po yung noodles," seemingly implying that we might want to redeem just one voucher and share the noodles.  But Hon-some told him to redeem both vouchers.

The bowl of noodles really was huge!  People from other tables shot us curious glances as in "Bakit tig-isa sila ng malaking bowl and siopao?"

But then...

...after being told a bowl was good for 2-3 persons...

...and devouring our own share...

...anong 2-3 persons?!?!?!

Hahahahaha!  Hon-some and I were exchanging evil laughs in the car on our way home ("Two to three persons daw o!  Panis!").  I have to be honest, though.  We took home the taipao.  It made for a satisfying lunch the next day.
Hon-some remarked the two of us had the combined (eating) powers of half a dozen soldiers.

I beg to disagree.

We have the combined (eating) powers of half a dozen construction workers.  :)

The One About the First

It has been a year since Hon-some and I got hitched.  It still feels like playing house.  Hahaha!  Anyway, we talked about just spending the day together and me whipping up something for dinner but I was itching to make something so I came up with this:

It's called a "Let's Go on a Date" package.  What I did was to plan one date activity for each month until our next anniversary.  I wrote each date activity on a piece of paper and placed it in a labelled envelope.

Dates vary from eating out (which we loooove to do!) to going to the theater to buying books.

Most of the dates have been prepaid so when the next month rolls by, we just whip out the gift certificates and vouchers!

How nice that we have something to look forward to in the coming months!

Happy crafty anniversary to us! :)
